Everyone needs a break from time to time. I decided to visit friends in a nearby village for the weekend near Marrakesh. We enjoyed each other's company, hiked, cooked together, laughed, rested, slept on the roof under the stars and talked about our challenges and good fortune in Peace Corps. I enjoyed my time so much and realized that the friends I am making in Morocco are special as this time in my life is very unique. The days are long and hot here. I have been keeping myself busy with reading, language, yoga, walking and art projects as well as spending time with friends in my community. I'm looking toward tomorrow, and appreciating these opportunities as they come.
