There is so much to see and it's impossible to see it all when you travel. I always have to remind myself that I will see what I see and hope to come back someday to see even more. It was great to see Barcelona again after many years and it was nice to see a few new things with more of a restful vacation. My favorite place was Porto, Portugal. The edgy industrial city leaves you feeling calm but with some angst. The graffiti so artful and everywhere. The Portuguese people friendly and welcoming. I managed to learn a few words that made me feel confident and humorous. We took a boat ride, ate a lot and enjoyed the famous sweet Porto wine while walking through the city. Madrid is different from Barcelona in that there is so much history about the Spanish Inquisition and not nearly as beautiful as Barcelona. We took a tour of the city and ate lots of ham and cheese. Barcelona's bus ride through the country was different than I expected and quite beautiful. Barcelona's night life is hard to keep up with, we didn't sleep much, ate our way the city, found a local bar where we enjoyed Sangria and had the chance to watch the Olympics on a big screen tv. From Gaudi to graffiti and parks, we saw as much as we could in three days. It was a wonderful trip with friends experiencing life and new things together. We met new people along the way and shared our Peace Corps stories. I hope to visit Lisbon someday where I can see the differences in cities between Portugal. Although I am the luckiest girl I know, the travel within Morocco and between Morocco can be tiring, I never thought I'd say that...What will be next?
