Lilou at 4 months, she is so precious and keeping Hiru company, they are  great friends...

The household is calm, happy and basic things work. It's been a long time coming. I want to stay and enjoy it  but my busy schedule has begun and is demanding. I work 6 days a week, sometimes everyday between yoga, a walking and running group, gardening, bag or bead making, meetings, event planning for artisans. Learning to cook, new Arabic words and reading, bills to pay and people to meet, it doesn't leave for a lot of down time. I still want to continue my passion for the environment and learn how Midelt sells and makes it bread to help less fortunate women. In time, it will come more into flow. I am learning where and who to buy the best meat, bread and veggies, cheese, candies, electronics and shoe repair man. As one place looks as good as the other, the people are very different and I enjoy supporting those who need it and are grateful and helpful. I can't believe it's been over three months and I am just now getting settled, boy how time flies. I am thinking that in a month I will be home, stateside. As I walk before dark each day the streets of Midelt, I see new things, observe those observing me, take in the sounds and smells knowing how comfortable I have become here in Midelt as well as Morocco and realize how grateful I am. Although I sometimes trip on the road or bricks where I walk, I have been told that someone has put the evil eye upon me, a Moroccan superstition. I can say that when I first moved to Midelt I was cursed and now that curse is gone and although someone may have there eye on me, they can't get to my heart.
